Lenna is a 2-3 year-old puppy mill survivor. She is one of the happiest dogs around and loves nothing more than to tear around the yard with her foster brothers in hot pursuit! She has a natural tail, that she uses to her full advantage, and her boisterous voice to excite her brothers and get them up to speed. Despite her love for her foster brothers, she is a work in progress with humans. She is a sweetheart but it will take an understanding owner to allow her the time needed to trust humans again.
She crates well as long as other dogs in the home are crated nearby. The next step will be to walk on leash politely. At present, she will need a securely fenced yard to allow her space to run the zoomies off. She loves chews and toys such as Nyla bones, raw hides, and tennis balls. She has even removed the fuzz off her favorite tennis ball.
Lenna is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is taking medication for anxiety (which is not very expensive) and we hope she may be able to discontinue it in the future. We continue to work on house training. She has an occasional accident when she drinks too much water before bed time.
Due to Lenna’s ongoing issues with trust, she will need: 1) a home that is calm and stable, 2) canine siblings that are willing and able to play, and 3) NO children.
